Three Peaks Arabica is smooth and rich, with a slight acidity and delicious nutty taste. This distinctive blend is created with some of the finest coffees from Kenya, Colombia and Costa Rica, grown in areas where the high altitude, warm climate and moderate rainfall help to produce high quality coffee beans with wonderful pronounced and distinctive flavours.

Dolce Arabica is a fabulous combination of Congolese Kivu and Indian Mysore beans that is truly a match made in heaven. The sweetness of Mysore beans blends perfectly with the complex fruit flavours of Kivu coffee, resulting in a full bodied coffee with a wonderful aroma. It can be enjoyed at any time of day, and is an ideal choice for your lattes, cappuccinos and Americanos.

Café Elegante is a luxurious blend of Colombian and Kenyan varieties that produces a full bodied cup with a sharp acidity, and subtle fruitiness. A flavoursome coffee with a glorious, rich aroma, Café Elegante is sure to appeal to those who enjoy a medium strength blend that is perfectly suited to filter and cafetière use, and it may well become a new favourite.

Coffee-Direct would like to introduce a rather pleasant newcomer to our increasing range of fabulous decaffeinated coffees. Medium Roast Decaffeinated Colombian Coffee is a mellow alternative to our hugely popular Dark Decaffeinated Colombian Coffee, offering a similar flavour profile in respect of its sweet fruitiness and chocolate notes, but with less intensity. This smooth and flavoursome medium roast coffee is perfect to drink during the day or winding down with in the evening. It is particularly suitable for use in cafetière and filter machines.

Coffee is believed to have been introduced to Colombia by Jesuit priests around 1723, and by the 19th century was being produced for export. The popularity of Colombian coffee over the years is partly attributable to successful marketing strategies adopted by La Federación Nacional de Cafeteros (FNC), an organisation set up in 1927 to promote coffee production in Colombia. In 1958, the fictional coffee farmer, Juan Valdez, was invented by the FNC to be used in advertising campaigns, and the image of him and his mule, Conchita, became an iconic representation of Colombian coffee. Today, Colombia is ranked as the third top producer of coffee in the world.

The small town of San Agustin lies in the southern Colombian Department of Huila, close to the Magdalena River. The area is blessed with beautiful landscapes and lush vegetation, and is a popular destination for tourists. One of the main attractions is the San Agustin Archaeological Park, where a large selection of the many pre-Colombian megalithic sculptures found in the region can be seen. Believed to date back to the 1st century, this mysterious assortment of carvings, created from volcanic rock, depict mythical creatures, deities, animals and human faces. The area is a named UNESCO World Heritage Site. Most of the coffee grown in the San Agustin region is cultivated on small, often family-run, farms, and much dedication goes into achieving the perfect end result.
